MANILA -- Some 20 barangays in Quezon City serviced by Manila Water will experience water interruption for 10 hours starting at 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday.
Jeric T. Sevilla, Jr., Manila Water Corporate Communications head, on Tuesday said the affected barangays are Ramon Magsaysay, Alicia, Santo Cristo, Bagong Pag-asa, Old Capitol Site, Vasra, Project 6, Culiat, Bahay Toro, Tandang Sora, Pasong Tamo, Central, Malaya, Pinyahan, Sikatuna Village, San Vicente, Teachers Village East, Teachers Village West, and U.P. Village.
“In line with the construction of the Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Line 7, Manila Water will be closing several valves on its major transmission lines along Elliptical Road in Quezon City to allow for the interconnection of the new 900-mm relocated pipeline at the corner of North Avenue,” Sevilla said in a media advisory.
He said this will result "in the temporary water service interruption affecting over 242,000 population in 44,056 households, commercial and business establishments" in 20 barangays of Quezon City. (PNA)
